Matt Hayden - Community Pastor   I was born on April 3rd, 1983, in a little back-country town called Farmington, Maine. I lived in the same town for 18 years, and then I headed out for Word of Life Bible Institute in Schroon Lake, New York. While at Word of Life, I was able to participate in a skateboard team whose main goal was to reach the lost through the ministry and FUN of skateboarding. One major theme that I learned at Word of Life is that a disciple of Christ needs to be, as it states in the name, “disciplined” (disciple).  “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15)

After graduating from The Word of Life Institute with a Bible Certificate, I went west to Crown College in St. Bonifacius, Minnesota. There I studied Bible and Theology. I was involved in many different ministries: Prayer Ministry Team, Worship Team Leader, Resident Assistant for freshman, Traveling Music Ministry Team (both Life-voice [band] 2 years and Stand Your Ground [quartet] 1 year), Tenor Vocalist in the Crown College Choir, and Youth Staff Working for Wayzata Free Church all three years at Crown. I am here in Colorado for these purposes: to glorify and serve my heavenly Father, to imitate and tell others about my precious Savior Jesus Christ, and to allow God’s Spirit to empower me to fulfill the ministry that He has placed before me. I desire that together we as a body might:

1. Grow to know the truth of God’s Word (thus God Himself)
2. Grow to understand what LOVE is and how it’s applied
3. Become unified as a group
4. Understand how to reach out to our friends, family, community and the World at large,
    with the Gospel of LOVE in Christ Jesus   

In January of 2008, Matt moved on to persue his passion for music.  Majestic Oaks Church is proud to have enjoyed their service while in Thornton.
