Welcome! I’m Fabian Armenta born and raised…. all over the place.  Almost born in a taxicab, my diligent mom made it and in a hospital of Guadalajara, Mexico on an early April morning, 1984, I said, “Hello world.”  Since then, my feet learned the art of walking, which results in being able to go places.  At the age of four, my nomadic family moved into an apartment complex in the west suburbs of Chicago.  Growing up in a Latino home and raised in American culture, I learned diversity through my classmates, somehow learned English, went to four different elementary schools before going to Junior High (not including my Mexico pre-school), experienced detentions, danced at school, and among other things, discovered that ice cream humorously affects me.

In High School, I attended two different schools.  The Switch happened in summer of ’99, after my freshmen year.  Our family moved into our very own home for the first time; a milestone moment for us all.  I was 15.  The same summer, on a humid Thursday night of July 29, 1999, I asked God to teach to me live and to teach me to love during a Christian camp; forever changed.  Coming home, I found out Mom found a new church for us, which resulted in new friends.  The Switch of ’99: new home, new neighborhood, new people, new Life.  God’s fingerprints are all over that.

A few years later, I attended Crown College in Saint Bonifacius, Minnesota.  Others refer to this location as “out in the boonies”.  I graduated in May of 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Bible and Theology and a Minor in Youth ministry, only to move back home.  A few months later, in October of ’06, Colorado became a new home.  Through steps of trust (faith), decisions, and changes, yours truly is the Youth Director (leader, pastor, helper; any name works) at Majestic Oaks Church.  I currently labor as a shift supervisor for the overpowering corporation known as Starbucks as a significant part of my income too.  I greatly miss my crazy-Latin family back in Chicago, love the Chicago Cubs, found out I like sushi, traveling is fun, etc.  Loving God – Loving others; it’s what I’m here to learn alongside the community in the North-Denver metro area.
